Dr. Zeinab Alloub is a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician at Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital and is the Vice president of the Emirates Society for Children and Adolescent Mental Health.

She graduated from Ain Shams University, Cairo and completed paediatric postgraduate training and specialization in the United Kingdom.

With a career spanning over 18 years, she has vast experience in the assessment and management of children with a wide range of developmental, learning and behavioral difficulties. Her approach is holistic; looking at both the medical and psychosocial aspects of the child and family wellbeing. She adopts a family centered approach and empowers parents in the care of their children.

Dr. Alloub conducts evidence based assessments within a multidisciplinary model of service delivery. Conditions managed include: Autism Spectrum Disorder through a specifically dedicated Autism Program, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Behavioral sleep disturbances, Behavior problems in early childhood, such as tantrums and oppositional behaviors, Developmental and behavioral consequences of prematurity, Global Developmental delay, Habit disorders and Developmental aspects of  genetic disorders, such as Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, Fragile X syndrome.

Dr. Alloub has presented at numerous international and national conferences as an expert in her field. Dr. Alloub is a member of the residency program committee at Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital and plays an important role in resident’s education.

Dr. Alloub is an avid advocate for children with special needs and their families. Beyond the hospital setting, her service extends into the community through active involvement in parent support groups and voluntary organizations. She also take leading roles in raising awareness within the health and public sectors.

1. Blue Cafe: Autism Parenting Workshop Part (1) Clinical and Developmental Aspects of ASD : What Parents Need To Know

The program focuses on talks by the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Centre of Excellence senior professionals and experts who will help parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) develop a better understanding of ASD and different evidence based practices in the field.

Parents will learn more skills in dealing with social communication and behavioral challenges from an ASD expert who will help in understanding their needs, strengths, and empowering skills. The professionals will guide parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder on how to deal with most challenging needs with kids on the spectrum. The areas covered and discussed throughout this program are a mix of medical and skills development options including nature of ASD, Comorbidities, sleep, communication and behavior modification strategies.
