Dr. Saleh Mohammed AlSalehi, MD is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician, who is a Health Care Consultant, an expert in Commissioning Health Care Services and establishing Child Health Care Services with focus on of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Had Arab Board in pediatrics at King Fahad National Guard Hospital, Riyadh and fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at Babies and Children Hospital, Case Western University, Ohio USA. Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, director of Child Development Center in King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital – Princes Noura University, Riyadh KSA, and Director of National Committee for Child Developmental Disorder, SHC, Saudi Arabia.

1. Autism Experience from KSA
Like any other country, the growing prevalence of autism spectrum disorder was/is a challenge, 20 years ago professionals including physician’s exposure to autism spectrum disorder and related conditions was low, leading to lots of gaps in diagnosis and intervention with a result of many children affected at that time face unfavorable out comes, but as awareness improved and training of professional changed over the years globally there has been a tremendous improvement in quality and quantity of care. We will discuss our data of cases seen in our practices more than 10 years ago, and changes of the system as time passes, we will discuss diagnosis, intervention and comorbidities with conclusions and recommendations.
