Mr. Mahmoud Abdul Rahim graduated from faculty of Arts, Psychology Department in 2006 and has been working with kids on the spectrum even since in different roles and positions. He graduated from The British University in Dubai holding Master’s degree in Special and Inclusive Education in 2017. In 2018 Mr. Mahmoud became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst through the Florida Institute of Technology in the USA. He has worked in the SABA awarded NECC for 10 years and has been involved in many research projects.



Short Description of the Workshop:

1. ABA Based Teaching Methods for Children with Autism

In ABA, teaching children on the spectrum is a very individualized and structured process that requires careful planning, monitoring, quantification, graphing, evaluating/re-evaluating and decision making. There is a number of teaching methods and techniques that are proven to be effective in teaching children with autism in ABA. The session will provide an overview of the techniques and teaching methods such as; Errorless Teaching, Massed Training, Discrete Trial Training (DDT), Incidental Teaching (IT), Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC), Direct Instruction (DI) and Personalized System of Instruction (PSI).
